Win 'Survivor'

The slogan for the reality television game show "Survivor" is "Outwit, Outplay, Outlast" and you can't do one or two and not the other. Winnings "Survivor" takes just the right combination of mental, physical and social skills and an understanding of how the game is won and lost.

Instructions

1. Begin making alliances right away and make sure you are in the majority. You'll want to make sure you can control the vote at tribal council from day one, otherwise you might be the one having your torch snuffed.

2. Work hard in camp. Early on in the game of Survivor, people get booted for being lazy or annoying in some way. By working hard and making contributions, you will not draw negative attention to yourself.

3. Be open to change. Sometimes people turn on their alliances or the producers add a twist to the game. Be ready to change your plans when needed and keep yourself in a good position.

4. Follow your head, not your heart. Survivor is a social game, but is ultimately not a game about making friends. The downfall of many a Survivor contestant is playing the game based on their friendships with other people in the game. You have to put those feelings aside, play the game smart and do what is best for you at all times.

5. Make sure someone else is the center of attention, whether it be positive or negative. You don't want to ever be considered the weak link, or the mouthiest person in camp, or the person who is dominant at challenges. A person who is the most of anything is always a target.

6. Go to the end of the game with people who are less-liked than you are. You want to make sure that when you are sitting next to someone at the final tribal council, the jury would rather give you the million dollars then your opponent.
