Make An Egyptian Princess Costume

This is make your very own Egyptian princess costume! Have fun!

Instructions

1. Take your dress, your color preference ( I recommend white, gold, or a luxurious color) and put it on. Envision what you want to look like. If you need to snip here or there to create a slit in it, go ahead and mark where you want it slit and how far. When you are done, slip it off and cut the slit.

2. take gold roping (can get at any craft supply or even in most old christmas boxes) and tie it around your waist as a belt.

3. Take gift box cardboard and create a large charm by drawing a bird like figure with its wings outstretched, or any other favorite character. Refer to online egyptian hieroglyphics for ideas. Paint it gold, and use a craft jewel of your preferred color for the eye. Punch holes in both sides, and either thread a ribbon, string, or chain through it.

4. Take an old necklace with egyptian flare and use it as a head piece, or take gift box cardboard and make a snake, or other emblem such as a rising sun, etc, and paint it then punch holes in the sides and thread a ribbon through it. Tie the ribbon in the back of your hair and let it hang down in the back. This works a lot like the hippy hair bands.

5. Wear flat gladiator sandals of a metallic color, or a color that matches your outfit. Paint your toenails to match as well, or make them look natural with a nice coating of clear polish.

6. Do dramatic eyeliner. Make your eyeliner come out from the outermost edge of the eye to create that smoky egyptian look. Use a bronzer on your body and face to get that sun kissed look if you are more pale. Use jewel toned blush and lipstick. Crimp your hair or find a killer wig to wear with your outfit

7. Enjoy your costume fun! You are sure to turn heads!
