Flower arrangements
are a great way to decorate a beauty pageant stage. Decorations can set the tone of the pageant, but should never be so overwhelming they distract from the pageant contestants. Flowers and plants are a subtle way to add color and elegance.
Instructions
1. Determine if the pageant has an obvious theme that lends itself to a particular kind of decoration. For example, it would be appropriate for the Miss Hawaii pageant to have tropical decorations on stage. If a theme doesn't jump out at you, decorate with the current season in mind.
2. Choose two or three specific colors for your flower arrangements that coordinate with the theme. A spring pageant should have pastel decorations, while red and gold would work well for a fall or Thanksgiving pageant.
3. Consult a florist after you choose your colors. A florist can help you pick flowers in the right colors that are appropriate for your theme. Don't get discouraged if you can't find or afford flowers that match your colors. You can always use white flowers and add colorful decorations to the arrangement.
4. Add fun decorations to your arrangements. If you're using white flowers, this is your chance to add color. If your flowers are bright, use pale decorations that complement the flowers rather than overwhelms them. The decorations should match the theme. For example, use pumpkins instead of vases to hold your flowers for a fall pageant.
5. Place the flower arrangements around the stage carefully. You want your flower arrangements to stand out, but not get in the way.
