Family Activities In California Florida

Known as "The Circus Capital of the World," the city of Sarasota, Florida, is no stranger to family friendly entertainment. Ever since John Ringling, founder of The Ringling Brothers Circus, moved to the area in the 1920s, families have been flocking to Sarasota for live entertainment. Sarasota provides plenty of family fun in the 21st century as well, and there are enough activities here to keep you and your family occupied for however long you stay.

Classic Car Museum

The Sarasota Classic Car Museum is a must-see for families that love automobiles and their history. More than 100 historic automobiles are on display, including vehicles from such manufacturers as Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Edsel, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo and DeLorean. Patrons browse the displays on their own, though guides are on hand to answer questions. Included in the collection are John Lennon's 1956 Bentley, John Ringling's Rolls-Royce fleet and a Mini Cooper that belonged to Paul McCartney. The museum is open seven days a week, though it is closed on Christmas. The Sarasota Classic Car Museum also features an antique video game arcade and a gift shop.
