How Can You Look Into The Ink Level With An Hewlett packard Printer

Check your HP printer ink levels using the Printer Toolbox.

When printing a large document, the last thing you want to do is run out of ink in the middle of the print job. It's a smart idea to check your ink levels periodically so you know when to purchase another cartridge. You can check your ink levels on a Hewlett Packard printer through the Printer Toolbox. However, if you have refilled your cartridge, or are using a cartridge that has previously been used in another printer, the ink levels may not be correct.

Instructions

1. Click on the "Start" menu icon, which is located in the lower left-hand corner of the screen. Select "HP Solutions Center," and then choose "Settings." Click on "Print Settings," and then on "Printer Toolbox." This opens up the HP Printer Toolbox.

2. Click on the "Estimated Ink Level" tab.

3. Look at the illustration on the screen to determine your ink levels. You will see one picture that shows your color cartridge ink level, and the other picture will show how much black ink you have left.
