Free Things You Can Do In Vegas With Kids

Many Las Vegas attractions are targeted for kids.

Many Las Vegas attractions are targeted for kids, and parents do not necessarily have to spend much just to keep the children happy. There are a number of child-friendly tourist destinations where little ones can enjoy nature shows, acrobatics and even chocolate lands.

The Aquarium at the Mirage Hotel and Casino

A 20,000-gallon saltwater aquarium is located at the lobby of the Mirage Hotel. As one of its most accessible attractions, this lobby aquarium located behind the front desk is home to over 1,000 coral reef animals and exotic sea creatures. The intricately detailed artificial corals are reminiscent of Australia's Great Barrier Reef. This massive acquarium, measuring 53 feet long, 8 feet high, and six feet wide, is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Children can watch a shark swimming through a coral reef while the parents are busy checking into the hotel. The Mirage's in-house aquatic life professionals manage this tropical-themed attraction which accommodates 60 sea species coming from Australia, Hawaii, Tonga, Fiji, Marshall Islands, Sea of Cortez, Red Sea and the Caribbean.
