Art Council Grants or loans

Art councils support all art genres for the benefit of local communities.

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) partners with arts councils in each state and U.S. jurisdictions to promote art in local communities. The NEA provides federal support to local arts councils, such as the Colorado Council on the Arts, whose mission is to ensure that the benefits of arts are enjoyed by all Coloradans. The Colorado council, like all state councils, combines federal funds with state funds to carry out its mission, which includes providing grants to artists and organizations in support of art.

Success through Art Schools (StART), Colorado Council on the Arts

The Colorado Council on the Arts provides StART grants to support school-based art education for youth, including formal art training and art in the curriculum. StART grants include planning grants and implementation grants. The council supports model programs that develop and implement art education programs in partnership with local school districts. Grant applicants must complete applications online.
