Traveling Christian
theater troupes travel across the country and often the world. These special groups spread the message of Jesus Christ. Traveling groups can use music, puppetry, dance, and drama as part of shows being performed. Traveling Christian theater groups are also considered a ministry. Most are happy to share their message with believers and non-believers alike. The kindness shown by its members can lead someone in the right direction in life. If you feel called to join this type of ministry, here's how.
Instructions
1. Consider what type of theater that you are interested. You'll want to know what type of performance you feel gifted at before looking for a traveling theater group.
2. Contact a traveling theater troupe that performs the type of programs that match your gifting. Ask around at your church to find ones that may travel near your area. Asking other Christians is the best way to find groups of quality.
3. Evaluate the program. Be sure that the mission of the program and the beliefs that the program operates on are aligned with yours.
4. Attend a performance by the troupe that you are interested in. This will help to give you a feel of what they are all about.
5. Inquire to troupes that match your beliefs and gifting. Ask about the application process, itinerary and policies. The procedures that govern the troupe can also be a deal breaker. Make sure it's all in sync with what you truly want.
6. Submit an application. Most troupes will require an in-depth interview and an audition. Some troupes may allow you to submit a video audition and to do a phone interview, while others will require both in person.
7. If you're application is approved and you've passed the audition, ask for a contract. Most troupes will require a contract that outlines length of commitment, travel policies and salary.
