Murals are large-scale artworks that can transform any place in which they are displayed, whether it is a house, street wall, sidewalk or public space. The adjustable nature of a mural also means that it can be altered, redone or scraped quite easily. Since most murals are made from just paint, removing them is even easier than painting them in the first place.

Steps
1. Put on painting attire that you will not worry about getting paint on.
2. Lay newspaper below and around the mural to catch paint drips.
3. Open your container of white paint and mix with the wood stirrer so that the paint is even.
4. Dip your wall paint roller into the paint and remove excess paint by rolling it a few times onto the paint pan.
5. Begin painting over the mural with the wall paint roller.
6. Use the ladder to reach higher spots that you are trying to paint over.
7. Use the smaller paint roller and paint brush to touch up smaller spaces that the large wall paint roller couldn't reach.
8. Continue coating the entire mural with white paint until the mural designs are no longer visible.
9. Let the painted mural stand and dry for the recommended time stated on the paint can.
10. Follow steps 1-9 to give the mural a second coat of white paint to completely remove any visibility of the formal painting, then let it stand and dry thoroughly.
11. Clean brushes and paint rollers with a water hose until the rinsed water runs clear of paint. Store the supplies in a dry, cool place for future use.
