Watch Comedy Shows On The Web

The Internet has made it possible for people to watch their favorite comedy shows from anywhere in the world at any time of day. Websites like YouTube and MySpace have made TV stars out of everyday people thanks to the spread of viral videos. Learn download shows, and you just might find that a hilarious world of entertainment is just a mouse click away.

Instructions

1. Download a multimedia player. If you've already got a version of Quicktime, Real Player or Windows Media player, you may need to upgrade to the latest version to watch today's free and inexpensive comedy videos. You can download the basic version of most media players for free on the Internet.

2. Log onto the website for your favorite TV channel and click on the "Watch Videos" tab. The major networks like NBC, CBS, ABC and Fox place their most popular shows online just days after they air. Be prepared to watch a brief commercial before free shows. You may also have to watch entire episodes in several chapters.

3. Look for Internet-based comedy videos from American and international cable networks. Check out Comedy Central for a massive collection of stand up comedy specials. Take a look at the BBC website for offbeat British comedies. Look for hilarious videos from Japanese cable networks, keeping an eye out for game shows. You won't believe the crazy things they make contestants do.

4. Get an iTunes account and buy inexpensive episodes of your favorite comedy shows (see Resources below). Save them to your computer and watch them any time or any place you want.

5. Use a DVD rental service to watch comedy videos on the Internet. Sign up for a standard contract and receive a monthly allotment of hours for watching videos directly from your personal computer. Netflix currently offers this service, and they've got lots of comedy movies and TV shows from which to choose.

6. Watch short video clips on YouTube (see Resources below). Look for the most popular clips on the main page or search for a friend's video by name.
