While some people may resort to hard work and talent to become famous, most of us have to do something crazy, dangerous or just plain stupid to get our moment in the sun. Knowing the best way to find celebrity and invite media attention helps but dumb luck and video is what's really required.
Instructions
1. Buy a video camera and entrust it to a friend with clear instructions to follow every move. Plan a few days of performing daring feats that invite the potential for injury and pain. Sore news travels fast with the advent of the Internet and a good video is likely to run as the final footage of an evening news show.
2. Build something so utterly crazy that it can't help but attract attention. Giant balls of string have long brought fame to their owners but something as simple as landscaping with cement replicas of a boy band from the 1980s should do the trick. Be sure to add realistic clothing and instruments to finish the look.
3. Fail miserably during a televised event or interview. Let your mind wander as you attempt to answer the question or complete a task. Falling, running into stationary objects and discussing alien invasions have vaulted many into fame.
4. Take on a new persona and chronicle your unusual choices online. Suddenly deciding to be Mary Poppins or Robin Hood takes work, but devoting your life to recreating the style of the chosen obsession will surely get attention.
5. Get adopted by an unfathomably wealthy family and jet set around the globe with a tiny dog and party friends. Ensure the media is given ample opportunity to catch you in compromising positions or consider releasing video of your own.
