Anime is an art form that originated with Japanese animation. Anime art is often characterized by either drastically sharp lines or overly rounded features. Anime characters can be anything, including a female vampire in a coffin. Drawing anime isn't difficult once you've mastered the characteristics that make anime an art form that stands on its own.
Instructions
1. Draw the coffin at the bottom edge of your paper. Draw a horizontal line starting about four inches from the bottom edge of your paper. Draw this line the length you want the coffin to be, then angle each corner toward the bottom edge of your paper to create the edges of your coffin. Draw a vertical line from the bottom of each of these angled lines, extending to the bottom of your paper. This is your coffin.
2. Draw a line that begins at the upper left of the coffin you drew in Step 1. Extend this line to about the same height as the coffin, then draw horizontally and connect the line to the right edge of the coffin. This is the open lid of the coffin.
3. Sketch the head and face of your anime vampire girl lying in the coffin. Begin with her hair. Draw the hair line, which usually consists of sharp, jagged edges. Draw a rounded line beginning at the front of the hair line, where the forehead will be, and form the face. Draw a slight curved line for the closed eye that will be visible. Draw a curve for the mouth and extend two small fangs over this line. Draw five or six thin lines above the eye for eyelashes.
4. Extend a pencil line from the face that will represent the neck and the body. Extend this line along the length of the coffin, making a slight rise for breasts and a slight rise about halfway that will be the hand crossed over the body. Add lines to the hands to create the effect of fingers clasped.
5. Draw randomly placed curved lines along the length of the body to create a textured look for the vampire girl's dress. These lines don't need to be a particular length or shape, but should create a pattern that looks like your anime vampire is wearing something silky.
6. Color your drawing with colored pencils. Use red to color in the inside of the coffin lid. Color the coffin black or brown. Use a pale flesh tone or blend white and orange to create a pale tone for your anime girl's face. Color the clothing dark blue, purple or some other dark color.
