Draw An Position Having A Protractor

Protractors are key for drawing angles.

If you want to draw an angle that is a precise degree of sharpness, you should use a protractor. Otherwise, the angle will be inaccurate because the human eye is not capable of gauging precise angles. to do this correctly, you do need certain pieces of equipment and a basic understanding of how angle measurements work.

Instructions

1. Draw a straight line using the straight edge of the protractor or a ruler.

2. Place the protractor directly over the straight line. You should be able to see it through the protractor's clear material. Mark the center of the protractor's straight edge on the line. Often there is a hole in the center to make marking the center easier; or, you can mark the center on the line and then place the cross-hairs at the center of the protractor's straight edge over the mark you make.

3. Mark the degree of the angle you want by putting a dot on the paper directly next to where the angle is marked on the curved edge of the protractor.

4. Lift the protractor up and draw a line from the where you marked the center of the straight line to the dot you made on the curved edge of the protractor. The resulting angle is the size that was indicated by the protractor.
