Liquid Dish Soap
Liquid dish soap will remove most stains from the surface of the acrylic shower. To use it, mix a few drops of mild liquid dish soap with warm water. Soak a clean cloth or sponge into the mixture and rub it over the surface of the shower until you remove all of the dirt and soap buildup. Use mild soap that does not contain bleach or strong fragrances.
Bleach
Bleach will help disinfect the shower and remove bacteria, dirt and other debris. However, never use a strong concentration of bleach as this could etch the surface of the acrylic and can be irritating to your hands and eyes. Instead, dilute the bleach with water and scrub it over the surface of the shower.
Avoid Harsh Cleaning Solutions
Never clean your acrylic shower with acetone, paint thinner or any commercial cleaners that might dissolve plastics. These will etch the surface of the acrylic shower and can ruin it if you repeatedly use it.
Avoid Abrasives
Avoid using abrasive cleaning tools such as stiff-bristled brushes or steel wool. These will scratch the acrylic shower. Once scratches form, dirt and soap scum will build up in them to make your shower look dirty. If you must scrub the shower, use a soft nylon brush or a terry cloth with raised nap.
