How To Apply Makeup On The Bruise

You can easily cover up a bruise with makeup.

Everyone has accidents. Unfortunately, some accidents tend to leave a nasty-looking blueish-black mark on your skin called a bruise. A bruise is caused when blood vessels break under the skin's surface. They usually last for about a week and can be unsightly. Fortunately, they are easy to cover up with makeup. Just make sure you are gentle in your application so you don't further damage the tender skin.

Instructions

1. Wrap ice in a paper towel and hold it against your bruise. This will help the bruise from spreading and also encourage it to heal faster.

2. Pat dry and dab your finger into some yellow-based concealer. Carefully apply the concealer on top of your bruise, taking care not to hurt it. The yellow in the concealer balances out the purple color of the bruise.

3. Check the effect in the mirror. If the bruise is still not fully covered, then add another layer of concealer.

4. Finish by dusting some face powder over the bruise. This will stop your face from sweating off the makeup and ensure the concealer stays put for a long time.
