A lot can be understood by a person's computer background. A custom-made background shows someone's creative side. A comic book or anime background shows a person's love for dork culture. A New York Yankees background shows off someone's Yankee pride. Creating a desktop background is fun and an easy way to personalize your computer.
Instructions
1. Find your screen resolution size. On most Windows computers, right-mouse click the desktop and click "Properties." Then go to the settings tab and the screen resolution size will be located there.
2. Open Microsoft Paint or some other image editing software.
3. Create a solid background color or load an image from your computer and place it in the picture.
4. Use the draw tools and other shape tools to make your design. You can also add text. When you are finished, save the image to your computer.
5. Set the image as your desktop wallpaper, which you can do by selecting "File" and "Set as Wallpaper." You can also set the wallpaper in the Control Panel.
