Use warm colors of paint on a sunset wall
Sunsets evoke a feeling of serenity and relaxation. In addition, they are vibrant and add color to any room. So bring nature into your home by using warm colors on a sunset wall. There are a myriad of hues to choose from; consider vivid ones, with a graduation and fading of colors.
Orange
Orange is one color that should be used to paint a sunset wall. It is the color that the yellow sun morphs into as it starts to recede. Use multiple shades of orange paint, including dark orange and medium orange. Avoid using coral, as that isn't the warm orange color found in sunsets.
Yellow
When evoking the feeling of a sunset, the color yellow must be used. Use yellow paint to show the light from the sun as it descends. Also, blend the yellow paint in with the orange paint to create graduated color that looks more natural. Touches of yellow throughout the sky looks lovely.
Blue
Various shades of blue, from pale blue to cobalt, should be used to paint a sunset wall. As blue is the color of the sky, it's an important paint color for this purpose. Use a darker shade of blue toward the top of the sunset wall painting. Apply the lighter blue tones mixed in with the orange, pink and yellow paint colors.
Pink
If you have ever seen a gorgeous sunset with shades of pink, you know how that will look on your wall. Use darker shades of pink near the orange and yellow tones, as those are warm, complimentary colors. Streaks of pink, blended in with the orange and contrasting with the blue, can be stunning.
