Contaminant Removal In The System

Toxins are the chemicals, poisons and toxic substances that can enter your body through food and the general environment. Inhaling polluted air or chemical products is one way to take in toxins. When you eat, your body uses the good part of the food and expels the rest as waste, which also contains these unwanted substances. A plan to remove toxins from your system will help keep you healthy.

Instructions

1. Change your diet to remove toxins from the system. Eat more foods that will cleanse your system by moving waste out of your colon, a common place where toxins lie unnecessarily. Foods that are good for colon cleansing include green leafy vegetables (like spinach, broccoli and romaine lettuce) and fiber-rich foods (like pears, grains and beans). Try to avoid eating too many dairy products, foods high in sugar, flour and hydrogenated or trans-fats, as they can make it harder to move your bowels properly and regularly.

2. Drink plenty of water to flush out your system of toxins when you go to the bathroom. Water carries toxins out of your body whenever you urinate.

3. Drink hot tea, which is rich in antioxidants, and lemon juice (about 2 tbsp. per cup), which is high in vitamin C, to help clear your system through your nasal passages. This method is useful if you have a cold, phlegm build-up, or similar affliction. Antioxidants and vitamin C kill the cold virus and other free radicals (molecules that interfere with your cells and can cause illnesses).

4. Take a magnesium salt bath to remove toxins through your skin. When you soak in a hot water bath with magnesium salts, the salt can help draw toxins out of your body. Take a relaxing shower afterward to rinse your skin off. You can find magnesium salt (Epsom salt) in any pharmacy or convenience store. Add 1 to 2 pounds of the salt to your bath water. Baking soda and sea salt (about a pound of each) is also effective for detoxifying during a bath.

5. Lower your head over a facial steamer to help remove toxins from your face. The steam helps you sweat, and that perspiration contains unwanted toxins. Rinse and dry your face thoroughly when done to remove the moisture. You can also visit a sauna to accomplish the same thing for your entire body.
