Amounts Of Clairvoyants

The various levels of psychics are categorized according to specific abilities.

Some individuals believe that everyone has some degree of psychic ability. Whether a person chooses to nurture and develop their ability is what separates psychics from non-psychics. Psychic levels are defined by the different abilities the psychic possesses. A psychic may have a single ability or a combination of multiple abilities.

Mediums

A psychic medium communicates with spirits, usually with the help of a client. Mediums mainly talk to the dead, but can also communicate with angels, demons and other immaterial beings. Mediums often use a technique called channeling to allow their bodies to be temporarily possessed by otherworldly beings to relay messages and speak with clients.

Telepathy

Telepathy is the ability to read minds. Telepathy is sometimes defined as thought transference. Some telepaths also are able to project their own thoughts into another individual's mind --- they may, for example, impart a general sense of happiness or sadness to another person, or even project a full thought such as "Have a nice day."

Psychometry

Individuals talented in psychometry have the ability to discern the past history of an object by touching it. They do so by accessing the memory held in the object's matter. Some psychics use psychometry to ascertain information about an individual from a personal item such as a ring or a watch.

Precognition

Precognition is the ability to gain knowledge about an event before it occurs. Precognitive knowledge can be gained by use of ESP (extrasensory perception), premonition, prophetic dreams or visions. Psychics with precognition often have a highly developed sense of cause and effect. Events occurring today are caused by events that occurred yesterday, which makes it possible to predict events that will occur tomorrow based on observation of the patterns leading up to the events happening today.

Telekinesis

Telekinesis can be broadly defined as the ability to move an object without touching it. The primary theory regarding telekinesis is that psychics are able to move objects with the power of their minds because everything in existence has some degree of consciousness that can be tapped. Telekinesis does not refer solely to moving physical objects --- individuals practicing telekinesis can also exert their will to influence the results of a random number generator.

Other Abilities

Though the categories listed above are the most common and most well-known, there are many other levels of psychic abilities. Levitation, teleportation, astral projection, clairaudience ("clear hearing"), and clairsentience ("clear feeling") are just a few examples of other, lesser-known levels of psychics.
