Removing vocals is easy to do with built in "Vocal Remover" plug-ins.
Making karaoke tracks for free at home requires the use of some sound editing software that is not native to Windows. Karaoke tracks are music tracks that do not have vocals included. The idea is to remove vocals from existing MP3 or CD music track. Adobe Audition has a tool that is designed specifically for this purpose. Sony Soundforge or Cubase can also be used to remove the vocals from a track. Adobe Audition is recommended as it can be downloaded for free from the Adobe website as a trial. (See References section.)
