Dallas Children'S Theater Summer time Camps

A wide variety of summer theater camps are available for children.

If your child is interested in theater and the arts, a children's theater summer camp may be the perfect activity to foster their creativity and artistic expression. As a city with many different theater companies, Seattle has a number of excellent children's theater programs to offer, from simple drama classes to camps that help children to learn and perform short theater shows.

Stone Soup Theatre Summer Programs

Stone Soup Theatre company not only offers excellent performances throughout the year for Seattle audiences, but it also has an extensive selection of summer camps for children from ages 5 through 13, and even a program for older students ages 10 through 20. The programs happen in Wallingford Meridian Park, Seward Park and Stone Soup's own DownStage Space, depending on the program. Classes are limited to around 20 students, and the company recommends parents choose a program based on the child's reading and maturity levels.

Studio East

Studio East is a training center for the performing arts, offering year-round classes for students of all ages, as well as a number of programs offered during school breaks. Its summer programs cater to multiple groups with age-appropriate programs for each group. Students ages 4 through 6 are offered a one-week arts exploration camp. Grades 1 through 2 create their own plays in a one-week camp. Grades 3 to 6 can create their own play in a one-week camp, and can also participate in a two-week camp that culminates in a costumed musical production. Grades 7 through 10 have a choice of a two-week musical theater or Shakespeare camp.

Auburn Children's Dance Theater

Children with a tendency toward dance and theater may find the Auburn Dance Theater's program more to their liking. The company provides age-appropriate choreography, costumes, and music with affordable tuition and a wide range of classes. It offers year-round programs as well as an excellent summer program.
