Using a silk screen to place custom images or text on a garment can increase its aesthetic value or relay a message that would otherwise not be shown on a blank piece of clothing. Silk screens use ink and heat to permanently impress images or messages into clothing. The screens are durable and can be used several times; however, once they are embedded with an image, a new image or message will require a new blank screen.
Instructions
1. Open the silk screen at the hinge. Lay the garment flat on the base of the silk screen. Take the custom design and lay it with the image facing away from the garment, so that it faces straight up.
2. Pour a generous amount of ink in the pan. Roll the ink roller in the pan to get a full coating of ink applied to it. Close the screen onto the design. Use the ink roller to roll a full coat of ink on the top of the screen. Dip the roller back in ink and reapply if necessary.
3. Open the screen at the hinge. Peel off the custom design from the bottom of the screen. Close the screen onto the garment. Use the plastic wedge to flatten the screen onto the garment. Open the screen at the hinge and slowly peel off the garment. Allow the garment to dry completely before wearing.
