Load Ink Right Into A Pen

Carefully add ink to a pen.

Ballpoint pens and fine tip markers are great for every day writing use, but those who want a lot more control over their drawing and writing and those who use pens for artistic pursuits such as calligraphy often opt for pens that need to be manually refilled with ink. Though this process can be a bit daunting the first time, with just a bit of practice and the right tools, refilling pens with ink can be a relaxing and satisfying endeavor.

Instructions

1. Put on rubber gloves and place the bottle of ink onto an absorbent surface to protect the hands and table or desk from becoming stained with ink if the ink happens to spill.

2. Place the fountain nib into the nib block and submerge in the bottle of ink.

3. Remove all of the air from the converter by twisting or pushing the plunger in a counterclockwise position.

4. Pull the ink into the reservoir by twisting the plunger in a clockwise direction. The pen is now filled with ink.
