High contrast images work best for screen printing.
Screen printing is an art form that is all about duplication. Artists can make short or long series and make profit from selling the editions. The smaller the series, for example 1 of 10 rather than 1 of 50, the rarer the prints. You may prepare your designs with a few simple tools and some time.
Instructions
1. Decide what you would like to draw. The idea needs to work in high contrast black and white.
2. Draw the design first in pencil. When the pencil draft is finished, if it is a simple design, photocopy it in black ink. If the design is more complicated, move on to the next step.
3. Take a black pen or marker and designate the areas you want the ink to fill. If you have a line drawing of a square, for example, you may want the ink to fill everything except the outline of the square, or you may want just the outline to be inked. This is the time to make those choices.
4. Place the screen on the table so the screen is laying flush with the table. Slide the drawing under the screen and paint screen filler directly on to the screen. Apply this only to the areas where you do not want ink.
