Disney has produced multiple superstars that become seemingly instant celebrities at a very young age. Kids and teens idolize them and want to be just like them. So how does one become a Disney star? It takes a lot of work, a lot of luck and some good old fashioned determination.
Instructions
1. Train. Train, train, train. Take acting, singing and dance lessons starting from a very young age. Disney stars are often triple threats and you never know when you might need to use each of your talents so the more you have the better. If you can do other things such as play instruments, martial arts or anything else, great.
2. Get an agent. You will need a very reputable agent to get your foot in the door at Disney auditions. Also, get great headshots. A killer headshot will be necessary to get those auditions you need. Once you sign with an agent tell them your intentions and goals. Together you will develop a plan of action. But first you need to get some other work.
3. Audition your butt off. You will have to go to lots and lots of auditions. Take audition technique classes if necessary so you can ensure good auditions to get you callbacks. Work every job you book. Do commercial works, print, voice overs and of course, television and film spots. Get all the experience you can.
4. If you're lucky you'll be perfect for some current Disney castings but you might not be. First of all you have to have a Disney look. The Disney look is clean, fresh and All-American. It's not edgy or off beat in any way. Think pure. If you can't make it into a casting have you agent set up a general meeting with one of the Disney casting directors. You'll get to meet them, get your face in front of them and possibly even do a monologue, scene or sing a song for them.
5. Audition and get a part in a Disney show or made for television movie. Be on time to work everyday, be kind and respectful and work your butt off. This will get you another job with Disney as they like being loyal to their actors. One job will lead to another and with any luck you'll be cast as a lead in a movie or series and your name and face will become A-listed.
