"
Sex and the City's" cynical lawyer, Miranda Hobbs is known for her corporate-chic style. Miranda went through somewhat of a fashion evolution during the show, as she gradually began to trade her power suits for feminine frocks. The actress that plays Miranda, Cynthia Nixon, even credits the "Sex and the City" movie with giving her a new look--because she got to take home all of the clothes she wore.
Instructions
1. Wear structured suits. Miranda's suits are always professional enough to wear in the boardroom, yet also form-fitted, to show off her femininity. Miranda often wore black and navy blue suits designed by Dries Van Noten on the show, with a pop of bright color from a camisole underneath.
2. Go for green. With her fair skin, fiery red locks and green Irish eyes, Miranda often wore clothes in green, which flattered her no matter the shade or hue.
3. Get a short and sassy haircut. Miranda's hair is always around chin-length, with wispy layers and edgy ends.
4. Show some skin. Although Miranda is most often associated with a conservative look, she'll occasionally wear a dress or top with a plunging neckline. In this case, she'll cover up other areas, such as with a shawl around her shoulders or a blazer over top.
5. Splurge when it comes to glamour. Although Miranda is typically seen in suits on "Sex and the City," when a special occasion requires her to dress up, she'll go all out--as she did in the movie, when she wore designer gowns by Prada and Zac Posen.
