Golf in Wii Sports allows you to experience a nine-hole round from your living room. The game uses the Wii controller as a virtual golf club. In order to master golf in Wii Sports you will need patience, lots of practice and these few steps.
Instructions
1. Take practice swings. You will be standing back from the ball by default, which allows you to practice your swing and make sure you do not slice the ball. You will hit a slice when the meter over-extends and turns red. You should take practice swing before every shot regardless of how sure you are of the shot.
2. Find the best range of motion for your swings. This will vary from person to person so there is no perfect answer. Try swinging several times until you consistently hit solid shots without slicing.
3. Account for the wind before setting up the rest of your shot. Strong wind will blow away a perfect shot and ruin a masterful round. A good general place to start is to find the wind speed in mps and move your aim an equal number of clicks away from your target.
4. Check the slopes of the green when putting or chipping by pressing the "1" button before you take a shot. This will give you topographical view of the green that will show how severe or gradual the slopes are. Press the "2" button to get a lower, closer view of the green.
5. Be aggressive toward the hole while still taking smart shots. There is a fine balance between risk and reward so you need to consider how you want to approach each shot to truly master golf.
6. Play the holes several times to learn their characteristics. There are only nine holes so you can find the best spots to aim for and the best places to approach the green.
