Produce A Guitar String Bracelet

Guitar string bracelets make great gifts.

You can use new steel guitar strings, or recycle old ones, to make a stylish guitar string bracelet. The steel strings are twisted together and sealed with a soldering iron to keep them securely held in place. Guitar string bracelets make a thoughtful gift for musicians, they can also be layered around the wrists to accessorize an outfit.

Instructions

1. Measure the circumference of your wrist with the tape measure. Cut six pieces of steel guitar string, each of which are 2 inches longer than the circumference of you wrist. You want the bracelet to be big enough to get onto your wrists, but not too big that it slips off easily.

2. Align the tops of the six steel guitar strings.

3. Wrap a resistor lead around one end of all six guitar strings to hold them in place.

4. Twist the guitar strings with your fingers to create a twisted pattern on the six strings.

5. Wrap the other piece of resistor lead around the other end of the six guitar strings to hold them in place.

6. Bend the bracelet so that the two ends touch each other to form a circle.

7. Heat the soldering iron. Hold a small piece of soldering wire over the ends of the two strands and solder them together. Repeat until the two ends are securely held together.
